(Unila): Rector of the University of Lampung, Prof. Karomani, cordially welcomed the visit from PT Bukit Asam Tbk this morning, in his office, Monday (1/13/2020). The Unit Maintenance Manager of Tarahan Port, Tommy Azhar Palembara, led the visitation.
The purpose of the state-owned company arrived at the green campus was to establish cooperation in organizing band festivals for high schools and varsities level at the Unila campus. It is believed that the festival will attract the millennials’ interest to join in.
Besides the festival, the coal company will also offer talk show by the Director of Commerce, Adib Ubaidillah. The event will take place on the next February just after the lecture begins.
Tommy explained, the activity was carried out to enliven the anniversary of PT Bukit Asam. As the organizer of the event, the company notices that Unila has great potential for cooperation.
Prof. Karomani enthusiastically welcomed the request to be the host for the band festival and talk show. The Rector of Unila requested that written cooperation agreement is required to be made. During the meeting, both parties also discussed Unila possibilities of getting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) from PT Bukit Asam, as well as internship opportunities at the company for Unila students.
