(Unila): Both Dafa Sitanala Putra Baladiah and Nayaka Adiwidya Putra majoring in Informatics Engineering and Electrical Engineering respectively won third place in the Indonesian robotics tournament of the speaker of MPR RI, at Gor Padepokan Pencak Silat TMII, East Jakarta, 17-19 May 2024.
The goal of the competition was to boost innovation with respect to a self-made robot design, constructions, and operations. The competition is regularly put in place once a year.
Ichimobot, the robot competing in the competition, is a Yogyakarta native that has undergone modifications to improve its line-following capabilities. The process starts with the robot’s start button being pressed after the intended path has been established.
Dafa and Nayaka participate in this tournament to improve their abilities. Despite the comparatively high cost, particularly if the robot is destroyed, they are happy with their sweet win after much anticipation.
Their next goal is to compete against other Indonesian universities in the Gajah Mada University (UGM) Technocorner competition. Their participating in the competition is beneficial to gauge their opponents’ abilities so that they can learn and compete more effectively in the following events.
Dafa shared his taking part in the competition and he suggested that Unila students need to spend the most of their time being involved in worth activities instead of wasting it.
