(Unila): The Rector of the University of Lampung (Unila) Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, DEA, IPM., ASEAN Eng., conducted a working visit to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Unila on Monday, February 2, 2026. The activity took place in the FISIP Unila environment and was welcomed directly by the Dean of FISIP Unila and the vice Deans.

The visit aimed to directly inspect the condition of the building and the facilities and infrastructure supporting academic activities and faculty services. During the visit, the Rector, accompanied by faculty leadership , toured several strategic facilities that serve as key pillars for the implementation of the Tridarma of Higher Education at FISIP Unila.

On that occasion, the Rector inspected the Unila Faculty of Social and Political Sciences’ Integrated Service Unit (ULT), the frontline of academic and student administration services. The inspection was conducted to ensure that services were effective, responsive, and in accordance with Unila’s excellent service standards.

The Rector then visited the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Dean’s Building at Unila to observe firsthand the condition of the faculty leadership’s workspace and the administrative procedures that support the smooth running of the faculty. During the visit, the Rector also had a brief discussion with the faculty leadership regarding optimizing the building’s functionality and improving the comfort of the work environment.

The Rector also inspected the courtrooms and examination rooms used for academic exams, proposal hearings, thesis hearings, and other academic activities. This inspection was conducted to ensure the readiness of supporting facilities to create a conducive and representative academic atmosphere.

The visit continued to the practical laboratory of the Communication Studies Department, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lampung, which is a crucial facility in supporting practice-based learning for students. The Rector emphasized the importance of adequate laboratories relevant to developments in science and technology, particularly in the fields of communications and media.

Through this working visit, the Unila Rector hopes that all facilities and infrastructure within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) can continue to improve in quality and function to support education, research, and community service.
