(Unila): Arif Febriansyah, a student of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), the University of Lampung (Unila), won three national and international poster design contests in a row in June 2022.
He deserved the third place award in the International Design Poster Competition Plant for Society at the University of Agriculture Multan in Pakistan.
At the national level, he was appointed the winner of the 40th Anniversary of Bengkulu University National Poster Design Competition On 7 June 2022 and that of the Creative Indonesia Creative Poster Design Competition on 3 June 2022.
“I am honoured to have been awarded three national and international accomplishments in one week. This achievement, in addition to bringing the good name of PGSD and Unila’s alma school, gains more credit in the poster design competition with approximately 20 pieces,” he stated in an interview on Friday, June 24, 2022.
Arif stated that he participated in the three events as a result of his actively searching for information about poster design competitions on Google and Instagram. The three online competitions were varied in the themes: Climate Change, Bengkulu University Anniversary, and Pancasila.
Arif has been interested in poster design since he was a student of high school. He and a friend of his who was skilled in computer design made their attempt to explore design applications. He himself subsequently improved his skills. Arif began to actively participate in several poster design competitions while in college.
His poster expertise was first demonstrated in the poster design competition at Dr. Soetomo’s LK2P Scouting University, and it was the first time for him to be appointed the second winner at the national level in March 2021.
Making poster designs is used as a means for Arif, who enjoys drawing, to communicate messages and information to people. He is grateful that his family and many others are supporting the growth of his interest.
After graduating, Arief, the resident of Wayjepara, Eastern Lampung, plans to create an audio-visual-based learning approach and technological breakthroughs in learning in accordance with the skills he gained at PGSD Unila.
“I do hope that this accomplishment helps me boost my GPA credit score and it inevitably leads to better PGSD accreditation and achievements,” he stated. [PR Team]
