(Unila): Rector of the University of Lampung (Unila), Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani, and her entourages enthusiastically climbed to the Mount Batu known as Gunung Batu in Srikaton village, Tanjung Bintang, South Lampung.
Climbing to the location with large rocks is quite labour-intensive. However, the beautiful and cool atmosphere of the hills of register 40 gave energy to continue climbing. Prof Lusmeilia stopped occasionally, breathing in the fresh air while viewing the natural beauty of the hills of the Srikaton tourism village.
Lusmeilia visited the Gunung Batu tourist site shortly having finished opening an activity organised by Unila KKN students in the village, on Thursday, 1 February 2024.
At the top of the hill is a very large rock from which we can view the wide valley, the green rice fields, and countryside in Tanjung Bintang. Lusmeilia was impressed with the the beauty of Gunung Batu, hopping that the site promotes tourists to visit it.
She offers collaboration of management of Gunung Batu between Unila and local tourism association so that tourists are attracted to visit the site which in turn will necessarily empower the community to improve their better income. Srikaton village also offers craft of agate for rings, bracelets, and necklace pendants. [PR Team]
