(Unila): Located in the Rectorat Meeting Room fl. 4th, the Voluntary Corps – Student Activity Unit (UKM-KSR) held an inauguration ceremony on Friday (02/15/2019).
The management handover was made for Yogi Zandika and Atari Sastia Dewi as the elected Head and Deputy Head of 2019 based on the General Deliberation Decree Number 10/C/SK.MUAXXVI/KSR/UNILA/2019 about the Head and Deputy Head of the UKM KSR PMI Unit Unila Period 2019.
However, The Chief Executive of Inauguration Ceremony, Gregorius, said that the management handover was the result of members’ deliberation held on January 17 th. “The inauguration supposed to be held on February 21 st , but it was held earlier as a symbolic change of management board,” he said.
Meanwhile, Representative of Lampung Transfusion Unit (UTD), Mahdi MS, congratulated the elected Head. He said that the cooperation between KSR and UTD Lampung has been established for quite long time to supply blood availability in the Lampung region.
Mardi expected that there will be a memorandum of understanding between Unila and UTD PMI Lampung to legitimate a long-term cooperation.
However, Rector of Unila, Prof. Hasriadi Mat Akin appealed the society awareness for a regular blood donations and its benefit to oneself health besides helping others.
“A routine blood donation keep us to be more healthy as it helps to maintain the hemoglobin level in our body,” he explained.
He added, the organization followed by students will provide an opportunity for students to gain soft skills and strengthen their managerial skills as well as creativity.
“More than 80 percent of the graduates’ success is determined by soft skills in which contain a character development so that the students will at least gain its basic experience prior to their graduation,” he concluded.[My/Humas]
