(Unila): Rector of University of Lampung Prof. Dr.Ir. Hasriadi Mat Akin, M.P., inaugurated the completion of the first stage of the Unila Multi Purpose Building (GSG), Thursday (01/24/2019).
The inauguration of the 34-year-old building was symbolically marked by a ribbon cutting by Rector. The event was also attended by Vice Rectors and all Unila Management Board and by a number of media crews.
In his speech, Hasriadi said that the Unila Multi-function Hall was built in 1985. It had never been renovated during this period. In last couple years, renovation had been made so that students’ graduations ceremony were held off campus.
GSG, which is located directly opposite Unila Library, is often used as a grand hall for meeting with honored guests, major events, general lectures, as well as regular graduation events of this Green Campus.
The first stage renovation of the building of 5000-people capacity covers an exterior repair building, such as exterior floors, painting, and outdoor display designs, including restroom repairs. This former Vice Rector Unila for Academic Affairs expects that the academicians and public may harness this amenities respectfully to the applicable regulations.
Unila Commitment-Making Officer (PPK) Muhammad Sarkowi said, the exterior renovation of Unila Multi-function Hall was carried out by PT 3 Jaya Kencana with the 2018-budget year.
Sarkowi added, “The maintenance of Unila GSG requires a large amount of fund at about IDR 20 billion. In 2017, we had budgeted IDR 4 billion for roof and acoustic repairs. In 2018, it was budgeted at IDR 7.3 billion, while this currently year we set the budget at IDR 8.3 billion,” he enclosed.[Humas]
