SNIP refers to a platform for engineering activities that focus on improving expertise and skills developed on the basis of science and technology mastery in order to boost added value and usability.

“The event is very important to improve the quality and capability of engineers in developing technology which would be beneficial for society,” Prof. Lusmeilia said.

She wishes that SNIP IV would be a beneficial forum for participants to extend their views and upgrade their engineering knowledge. There were 209 participants attending SNIP IV as reported by SNIP IV’s Chief Executive, Dr. Mardiana.

The participants in attendance were those from PSPPI regular class students, and cooperation class students from Tangerang and OKU, Palembang.

The speakers discussed a variety of issues, including civil engineering, machinery, electrical, computers, informatics, chemistry, environment, architecture, energy, mining, geodesy, geology, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and others.

The Keynote speakers of the SNIP IV event were Prof. Djoko Santoso, Professor of Geophysics Engineering at ITB, Dr. Habibie Razak, Director of the Central Indonesian Engineers Association as well as the President Director of PT INKA Executive.
