(Unila): PT PLN (Persero) held “PLN Goes to Campus” in collaboration with University of Lampung (Unila) at the Multi-purpose Building (GSG Unila) on Wednesday (03/27/2019). The agenda entitled “PLN Goes to Campus Light up Energy Optimism 2019” was attended by thousands of Unila students from various faculties and years.

The event was attended by Rector of Unila, Prof. Hasriadi Mat Akin, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communication and CSR of PT PLN I, Made Suprateka, and Chief Editor of Lampost, Iskandar Zulkarnain.

Hasriadi explained that this activity was a strategic step to show how important electricity is in a community life.

One of the PLN progress deliberately influences Unila progress since excellence service  should be supported by an adequate electricity supply. “Imagine if Unila has no electricity for a single hour, it results about 3,000 students can not learn effectively. Besides, the performance of the laboratory will be disrupted,” he added.

Hasriadi asked all students to be able to build creative mindsets and problem solving, master communicative skills, and be competitive in this industrial revolution era 4.0

I Made Suprateka, who also became one of the resources, explained that the country’s electricity conditions are currently progressing. A number of areas that had not yet been electrified have currently diminished.

In addition, the basic price of electricity since 2017 has never risen again until this present year, 2019. In this context, I Made invited students as part of the community to voice energy-saving movements in order to build mutual understanding and awareness to maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of electricity use.

The activity, which was moderated by a Lecturer of Faculty of Social Sciences of Unila, Andi Windah, was also enlivened by the presence of guest star, Kunto Aji; Content Creator, Ikram Afro’s; and Owner of Girl Kitchen, Balqis Talita, to share experiences. [PR Team]
