(Unila): The candidate, Novita Herdiana presented the findings of her research in an open examination for the promotion of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences at the Unila Agriculture Hall Building, the Faculty of Agriculture (FP), Unila Tuesday, 23 April 2024.
She defended the results of her study before the team chaired by Dr. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, the representative of the Rector of Unila.
Among those in attendance of the promotion were Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Dr. Kuswanta Futas Hidayat, internal examiner team, Dr. Suharyono, examiner secretary, Prof. Slamet Budi Yuwono, promoter. Prof. Sri Hidayati, co-promoter 1, Dr. Dewi Sartika, Co-Promoter 2, Dr. Subeki, and external examiner, Dwi Eva Nirma Gustina, Ph.D.
Novita Herdiana deserved a doctoral degree having defended her dissertation entitled “Nanoparticles of Kingkit Orange Extract (Triphasia trifolia) Edible Coating to Increase the Shelf Life of Fishery Products”.
Her dissertation shed light on further benefits of kingkit orange extract as an herbal antimicrobial and then used edible coating techniques with the addition of nanoparticles to extend and maintain the quality of processed fishery products.
Novita is recorded as the 23rd graduate in the list of the Unila Agricultural Science Doctoral Study Programme. In addition, she is currently teaching in Agricultural Product Technology, Unila and she has also published many scientific publications in Scopus-indexed journals. [PR Team]
