(Unila): Concern for the digital education gap amidst the rapid development of technology has encouraged Hermansyah Romadhona, an alumnus of the Mathematics Study Program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the University of Lampung (Unila) class of 2010, to take an active role in empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Hermansyah is currently known as the founder of Ngontenpakeai.id, an educational platform focused on the practical use of artificial intelligence (AI). This platform offers AI training to help MSMEs and digital creators understand and utilize AI for their daily needs, particularly in promotional content creation, digital marketing management, and improving work efficiency.

Hermansyah’s journey to establish Ngontenpakeai.id began with his observation of the rapid development of digital technology and AI. He saw that many MSMEs had good products but were unable to optimally utilize technology to support marketing and business competitiveness.

Based on this, Hermansyah began studying AI independently by attending various online classes and webinars, both free and paid. He then put the knowledge he gained into practice, eventually plucking up the courage to share AI-based content on Instagram.

The content he shared received a positive response from the public. Many business owners found the material simple and easy to implement . Recognizing this need, Hermansyah then developed a more structured training program.

The AI training developed through Ngontenpakeai.id has been running actively for the past six months. Hermansyah has mentored over 2,500 MSMEs and digital creators from various regions in Indonesia. Furthermore, the platform has successfully reached a wider audience through the Instagram account @ngontenpakeai.id, which now has over 44,000 followers.

This training program is conducted both offline and online, including WhatsApp group-based classes, national webinars, and offline classes. The learning approach emphasizes hands-on practice with simple materials and focuses on the real needs of MSMEs, such as promotional content creation, visual design, and day-to-day work management.

A WhatsApp group-based online class focused on creating promotional video content using AI has run for seven classes. Additionally, an online class on AI-based product photography has also been held in seven classes, with participants from various regions across Indonesia. Ngontenpakeai.id has also hosted three national webinars via Zoom.

Hermansyah has also opened offline classes in Lampung Province, not just online. To date, he has conducted seven sessions, providing a hands-on learning environment for MSMEs to practice AI.

The impact of the training was clearly visible to the participants. Several MSMEs previously unfamiliar with managing digital content are now able to produce promotional materials independently. Furthermore, promotional processes that previously required considerable time can now be carried out more quickly and efficiently.

Hermansyah’s consistency in delivering impactful training has led to him being trusted as a resource person in various forums, ranging from talk shows on Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) and Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI), to activities on campuses, schools, MSME associations, and national webinars.

For his dedication in assisting MSMEs in utilizing AI technology, Hermansyah received the Inspiring Visionary Professional Winner 2025 award at The Great Champions of Asia Award 2025. This award is a form of appreciation for his contribution in providing impactful and inclusive AI training for the community.

For Hermansyah, the award reinforces his commitment to continue delivering innovations that have a real impact, particularly in helping MSMEs adapt to technological developments.

“I want to promote affordable, practical, and technically uncomplicated digital transformation, so that MSMEs can advance without requiring significant capital. If MSMEs are AI-savvy, the impact will be felt not only on their businesses but also on the local economy and national competitiveness,” he said.

Hermansyah hopes that AI training for MSMEs will continue to grow and reach more business owners, making the technology easier to understand and apply in daily business activities.

Collaboration between educators, communities, and the government is considered crucial for expanding AI literacy equitably and encouraging the use of technology that has a real impact on strengthening MSMEs. [Muzamil Kakar]
