(Unila): All staff and students of the University of Lampung took part in a monthly ceremony held on the 17th at the back yard of Rectorate Building, Wednesday (07/16/2019).

Rector of Unila, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hasriadi Mat Akin, M.P., was the ceremonial supervisor. In his remarks, Hasriadi conveyed that the monthly ceremony is essentials as a means of meeting for all Unila academicians and administrative staff. On that occasion, Hasriadi delivered the Unila’s development from the era of 1.0 to the 4.0 revolutionary era.

Besides, he formulated, at least, four stages had to be passed to guard a change in Higher Education. Unila is currently in a position to move from 3.0 research university to 4.0, namely entrepreneur university.

“The implemented changes must be guarded optimally according to the master design, which is more than just a style,” he said.

According to Hasriadi, the characteristics of research-based university are the presence of knowledge from several patents created, intellectual property rights, results of research-community service, as well as Scopus Indexed Journals.

He further revealed that at the last RPJP discussion meeting, Unila is targeting the 4.0 position, which will require more innovations.

Moreover, technology and creative industries in the real work inspire and affect the learning curriculum of Unila. This green campus is also committed to creating conducive atmosphere by accelerating the Greenmetric achievement.

“Investment of around Rp.60 billion is, then, allocated to develop the construction of reservoirs, clean water sources, integrated waste management, smart building FEB, and the construction of 13 buildings according to the Green Design as to support significant changes in Unila,” he explained.

In addition to several developments, Unila also applies reward and punishment through a remuneration system to raise the quality and quantity of the performance of both educators and administrative staff.

All of these development efforts are the result of funding supported by the Asian Development Bank, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of Indonesia, the Government of Bandarlampung City, and also the Lampung Provincial Government.[PR Team]
