(Unila): Unila FEB lecturer, Arif Darmawan, M.A., had the opportunity to teach at one of the best state campuses in Turkiye, Istanbul Medeniyet University (IMU), through the Global Teaching Master Class program.

This activity, which took place on Thursday, 30 May 2024, is part of a series of Short Course Management Studies activities as an implementation of collaboration between Unila and IMU.

The Global Teaching Master Class refers to a program to provide lecturers with opportunities from each institution to gain teaching experience outside campus.

In this exercise, Arif instructed students in International Political Economy and Global Marketing to shed light on subjects about the Indonesian economy. In order to obtain teaching experience and to learn Turkish perspectives on Indonesia, Arif converses with Turkish students while teaching in English.

Pupils actively participate in lively conversations on Indonesia, with a focus on the country’s ethnic variety, culture, and economic growth. Aside from that, students openly questioned the government and central bank of Indonesia over how they handled inflation and economic stability.

A Q&A period with the kids brought the event to an end. Situated in the Asian section of Istanbul, Istanbul Medeniyet University is a significant ally of Unila in Turkey, aiding in the internationalisation and advancement of the higher education tridharma in both nations.

IMU was established in 2010 and is now ranked #1 in Turkey’s Scimago Social Sciences ranking and 150th in QS East Europe and Balkan Countries. [PR Team]
