(Unila): University of Lampung (Unila), through the Office of the Sustainable Development Goals Center (SDGs) in collaboration with Cambridge University United Kingdom (UK), held nutrition training for Integrated Healthcare Center (Posyandu).

The collaboration initiated after fellow Researcher Dr. Laurentya Olga, M.Phil visited Unila last time.

The proposal was signed and sent directly by Professor David H. Rowitch from the University of Cambridge, UK. In the next year Fellow Researcher will carry out collaborative health research.

Dr. Unang Mulkhan, M.B.A., as Head of the Unila SDGs Center said, the presence of guest researchers is to strengthen the quality of research at the University of Lampung. Especially those related to the goals of sustainable development, especially health and well-being.

In addition to the sustainable development goal, the collaboration aims to increase awareness and knowledge about nutrition during pregnancy as well as nutrition for the babies.

“This training is to equip Posyandu cadres and volunteers about good nutrition for pregnant women and toddlers and to prevent growth disorder caused by malnutrition and other factors.”

The Research and training will be conducted for one year and will train health cadres in Psyandu of Waylaga at Sukabumi District Bandarlampung, from 11 until 12 February 2020.

Three researchers from University of Lampung, Dr. Samsu Udayana Nurdin, Dr. Yaktiworo Indriani, and Prof. Sindung Haryanto will be involved in the activity.
