(Unila): Chancellor of the University of Lampung (Unila) Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani asked the Unila postgraduate program actively promoted postgradute programs and encouraged Unila undergraduate students to pursue their higher degrees, Masters and Doctoral degrees, at Unila Postgraduate studies.

The statement was made during a friendship and consolidation academic visit with the university officials to the Unila Postgraduate studies on Friday, April 28, 2023, hopping that students enrolling at the postgraduate studies increased in numbers as recruitment of teaching staff and even employees requires master’s and doctoral degrees.

Prof. Lusi also offered scholarship for village and sub-district heads in Bandarlampung city to pursue Masters and Doctoral degrees at Unila.

According to Prof Lusi, getting study program well accredited is also priority for Unila as it is deemed to be an indicator for a tertiary institution with a good qualification.

She also insisted on the importance of eliminating superior-inferior relationship among officials within Unila to abolish feudalism so that communication among staff at Unila could run more naturally which in turn will lead to the success of Unila.

On the same occasion, Prof. Murhadi described the most recent scenario and conditions for Unila postgraduates with respect to the number of lecturers, educational personnel, study programs, infrastructure, and facilities that need more attention well as the problems to be sorted out in the near future.

He also informed that registration for the first batch of Masters in 35 study programs across Unila with a capacity of 895 has currently absorbed 216 students, or approximately 24%.

Meanwhile, the S-3 program has so far received 38 applicants out of the capacity of 109 students or around 34%, the majority of whom enrolled Masters and Doctoral degrees for the law studies.
