(Unila): The summit of the University of Lampung’s (Unila) 56th anniversary celebrations, was scheduled September 23, 2021, titled “Unila Synergizes and Innovates to Build the Nation during the Pandemic”.
Prof. Dr. Karomani, M.Si., Rector of Unila, said the phrase “Building the Nation during the Pandemic” had special significance for Unila, particularly as the challenges of advancing the world of education became more severe during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Additionally, the theme represents Unila’s efforts to continue to survive, to work in synergy, and to sort out all problems associated with achieving the higher education sector’s key performance indicators (KPI) through a number of innovations.
Prof. Karomani believes that Unila needs to demonstrate its adaptability through more concrete outcomes according to the application of eight key performance indicators (KPIs) in the difficult circumstances due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The 56th Dies Natalis will go down in Unila’s history. “Recording Unila’s synergy and innovation, which have continued unabated, even in the face of a pandemic,” Prof. Karomani stated during a speech at the extraordinary senate meeting for the 56th anniversary of Unila at the local GSG.
According to the number one person at Unila, the theme of the 56th anniversary has manifested itself in real performance achievements over the last year. Among them is disrupting the chain of distribution and preventing the spread of Covid-19 through the establishment of the Unila Covid-19 Task Force.
By expanding our network and winning some national competitions through Sikubis and student activities, we have established synergy with a variety of external stakeholders.
Unila has also achieved success in national and international university rankings, taken an active role in environmental conservation, specifically biodiversity conservation, and actively supported the XX National Sports Week (PON). Most recently, Unila broke the MURI record for the most professors inaugurated in Indonesia once again.
“We owe these successes to all Unila academics who are completely committed to realising Unila’s vision,” Prof. Karomani stated. He also expressed his gratitude and respect for Unila’s founding fathers, previous rectors, and the Unila academic community, spanning generations and time periods.
To mark Unila’s 56th anniversary, Dr. Indri Windarti will deliver a scientific oration titled “The Concept of Education and Research Development in the Field of Anatomic Pathology in the Covid-19 Era”.
