(Unila): Hanifah Syahirah Vedy, a student of the Management International Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Unila, is granted the IISMA Co-funding scholarship to pursue her study at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

This program provides an opportunity for the best Indonesian students to study at the world’s best universities for one semester with co-funding from the Indonesian government. She takes advantage of this opportunity to have her academic and professional potential improved.

She is scheduled to attend the program for one semester at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) for one semester. Hanifah has a strong motivation to become a successful business woman, broadening knowledge of entrepreneurship, attending cross-cultural studies as well as improving the ability to build networks and business.

Hanifah has long been attempting to join this program by working hard to maintain his GPA, improving her English, building branding on LinkedIn, taking care of administration in the faculty, and writing essays.

Her dream finally comes true to study at USM. The course at USM meets her needs as a young entrepreneur so that she can apply her knowledge in her business.

She greatly appreciates the support of family, friends, and her campus in her journey to achieve the success. She is expected to have her experience, personal development, including self-confidence, independence, and problem solving significantly improved.

Armed with the determination to become an independent individual and to have capability of encountering problems during her study in Malaysia, she made an attempt to spend five months unaccompanied.

Not wanting to just focus on her studies, she is actively involved in extracurricular activities and the student organizations at USM, to contribute to her personal development and to enrich her experience.

She also necessarily takes advantage of this opportunity to expand her professional network in Malaysia while applying the knowledge and skills she gained at USM for her academic and career development after returning to Unila.
