(Unila): Ryzal Perdana, Alumnus of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of the University of Lampung University (Unila), accomplished his Doctoral Degree of Education Science at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) at a relatively young age of 27.
Ryzal took the Open Examination for Doctoral Promotion in the Postgraduate Program at the Faculty of Education of UNS on Wednesday (01/08/2020). The exam took place in the Meeting Room of Postgraduate II UNS. After the exam, the examiner declared that Ryzal had attained satisfactory results. Then, his name was listed as the youngest doctor from Lampung Province.
He submitted a dissertation entitled “The Development of the Inquiry Social Complexity (ISC) Learning Model to Empower Critical and Creative Thinking (CCT) Skills.”
Ryzal was an alumnus of FKIP Unila at the Chemistry Education in 2013. He then continued his postgraduate study as he got the Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) Scholarship in 2014 and graduated in 2015. In 2016, he pursued his doctoral program with a study period of 3 years and 3 months by August 2020.
Moreover, Ryzal also attained a Cumlaude GPA with research outputs of 7 Scopus Indexed Journals. He also has released a book by his research.
Not only that, he actively contributes to the development of international publications of FKIP Unila. He gives his devotion to his bachelor alma mater that has firstly changed his mindset regarding the urgency of education.
Ryzal admitted, his track record was none other than the inspiration he found from several admired figures. Two of them are Dr. Sunyono, M.Sc., who currently serves as Vice-Dean for Academic and Cooperation Affairs of FKIP Unila, and Dr. Ratu Betta Rudibyani, M.Si., Head of Chemical Education of FKIP Unila who also attended at his doctoral promotion session.
