(Unila): The academic community of University of Lampung (Unila) and invited guests mingled in the excitement of the “Anugerah Unila be strong in 2024: Reflection of a one year leadership of the Rector of the University of Lampung” event held at Novotel Hotel, Bandar Lampung, Wednesday, 17 January 2024.
Among those in attendance were former rectors, alumni, Unila leaders, and members of the Unila Supervisory Board from the Ministry of Finance Mohammad, Dody Fachrudin, Assistant III for General Administration of the Lampung Provincial Government, Dr. Senen Mustakim, representatives of district /city governments, and other invited guests.
The awarding night was also attended by Unila’s partners from companies, banks, BUMD, private universities, as well as community leaders and educational leaders.
The ceremony was opened with a series of activities, such as Sigeh Pengunten dance, prayers, the video broadcasting the achievements, as well as Unila’s achievements particularly for a one year period of Unila’s rector leadership, Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani.
The achievements included those of international accreditation FIBAA, RSC, ASIIN for 18 study programmes, the top 16 THE World ranking of University Rankings, the top 13 Webometrics ranking, the 9 top SCImago ranking for Institutions Rankings, and QS World University Rankings with the position 1,401 in the world or the top 25 best campuses in Indonesia.
There have been many other accomplishments Unila has reached, among others, the Best Work Unit KPPN Award 2023, 118 professors in total in the period, 2023, website and blog management to reach 4.5 million backlinks, 1st ranking for the UAPPA-W Level Financial Report, Public Information Disclosure Award, Anugerah Humas Kemendikbudristek award, a gold winner for higher education in the subcategories of social media, magazines, public relations personnel, and press releases, as well as a bronze winner for website management, and cooperation with government and NGOs, independent clustering for research and community service activities, as well as Superior accreditation awarded by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani delivered her speech at commemoration of her one year leadership, expressing her sincere gratitude to all parties, among others, academic staff, stakeholders, and the media for making the improvement of Unila in terms of the three pillars of higher education, Unila superior accreditation, various breakthrough innovations in services at Unila, and the spirit of Unila be strong possible.
These accomplishments have necessarily led Unila to achieve high performance in a number of fields as indicated by Unila’s top priority of performance index (IKU). She is also scheduled to deliver the Anugerah Unila be strong award to those who have contributed to the Unila’s accomplishments. This is expected to motivate every single individual to actively make an effort to reach Unil’s better achievement.
Prof. Lusi also launched the University of Lampung 2024 performance programme, including new student admissions in 2024, Independent Campus Learning Independent Campus education in 2024, funding for Research and Community Service, Unila Digital transformation through the My Unila superapp, and achieving the 2024 IKU target.
