(Unila): The University of Lampung (Unila) held a graduation ceremony for the third period of the 2025/2026 academic year, at the local campus Multipurpose Building, Saturday, January 24, 2026. In this period, Unila graduated 640 graduates from various levels of education, from doctoral programs to diplomas.

The graduation ceremony began with the reading of the academic report by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Unila, Prof. Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, ST, MT. Next, the Rector of Unila, Prof. Dr. Ir. Lusmeilia Afriani, DEA, IPM., ASEAN Eng., delivered a speech and a report on the institution’s achievements.

In her remarks, the Rector expressed her gratitude and pride for the graduates’ achievements. “Today, the University of Lampung is proud to graduate 640 people from various levels of education,” she said to the graduates and guests.

The number of graduates consists of 19 doctoral graduates, 87 masters, five specialists, 67 professionals, 455 bachelors, and seven diplomas graduates.

Unila has so far contributed 144,990 graduates to the nation and state of the Republic of Indonesia from eight faculties and one postgraduate program.

The number of active Unila students as of December 2025 was recorded at 46,736. In the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, 6,019 students received scholarships, comprising 5,786 recipients of the KIP-K program, 55 Papuan affirmative scholarships, and 178 students receiving self-funded/private scholarships.

The Rector further emphasized that graduation is not merely an academic ceremony, but also a marker of the changing roles and responsibilities of graduates in society. “Before this, you were students, and starting today, you become doctors, masters, specialists, professionals, bachelors, and associates,” she said.

She added that the knowledge gained during the study period must be realized in real actions that benefit society.

Unila currently ranks 15th nationally according to the January 2025 edition of Webometrics and continues to strengthen its reputation at the regional and international levels through various rankings and awards.

This achievement is reinforced by various student and institutional achievements in the fields of academics, innovation, sports, and university governance, which reflect Unila’s commitment to realizing its vision of becoming a world-class university.

In addition, Unila continues to innovate through the development of an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum and an Impact Campus program to address the challenges of the world of work and the needs of society.

Closing her remarks, the Rector encouraged the graduates to maintain their connection with their alma mater and contribute to the nation’s progress. “Protect the name of your alma mater, continue to work, create new jobs, and keep learning for a progressive Indonesia and a strong Unila,” she said.
