(Unila): Some 10,358 new students doing undergraduate, master, and doctoral degrees at the University of Lampung (Unila) participated in the campus orientation. A few of them were selected from the disadvantaged, frontier, outermost areas and seven students were from the Adik Papua affirmative pathway.
The two-day activity with the theme “Developing student character in the digital era for Unila Be Strong” was made both offline and online. The former was put in place at the Unila main campus, while the latter took place via the Zoom application and the Youtube channel official Unila. It was officially opened by the Unila Rector, Prof. Lusmeilia Afriani.
She suggested that the new students sort out their study in due course. During the orientation, they were to attend some lectures, one which was students and public order concerning the roles and obligations of students in maintaining order in society.
The students were also introduced to the Unila Academic Regulations, and Anti-bullying and violence, the role of students in the digital era, and Unila Clinic services, among others.
The second day of PKKMB was enlivened bydoor prizegiven by the rector. Several participants managed to getdoor prizein the form ofgoodie bag. The enthusiasm of the students was increasingly visible when one by one the Unila Student Activity Units (UKM) began to conduct introduction sessions.
The students who were members of various UKMs were given time to demonstrate activities for seven minutes. The rector encouraged the new students to actively join the campus organizations so that they can develop their interests and talents and make more friends. [PR Team]
