(Unila): Rector of the University of Lampung (Unila) Prof. Hasriadi Mat Akin led the evening prayers at Al Wasi’i Mosque in Bandarlampung on Sunday night (5/5/2019). After leading the congregational worship, the Rector delivered a speech just before the first Ramadan 1440 Hajj tarawih.
Prof. Hasriadi conveyed, in the month of Ramadan our worship will be multiplied. But fasting is not only about hunger, thirst, and lust, but in essence fasting holds everything that is not allowed.
This is a reflection of the piety of a Muslim, namely carrying out all that was exemplified by the past people and staying away from all prohibitions.
Worship will train the success of individuals to achieve integrity and honesty. In addition, a Muslim must establish a balanced relationship between habluminannas and habluminallah.
By fasting, there is no difference between the rich and the poor. All feel hungry. “Through this fasting, let’s make good use of it. We build individual and social gain. “It must be balanced between habluminannas and habluminallah,” he concluded.
This former Vice Rector I of Unila added, the first ten days in Ramadan are a blessing. In those ten days many of God’s blessings are revealed. Therefore, it is better for everyone to pray and worship God so that they are always in His mercy.
In the second ten days, sins are forgiven if someone repented. Then perform evening prayer, prayer, dhikr and muhasabah repeatedly.
And the last ten days in Ramadan are avoidance of the torment of hell. In the last ten days the opportunity to purify oneself by increasing prayers to always be avoided from hellfire. “I hope that the congregation of the tarawih prayer at Al Wasi’i Mosque in Lampung University will increase,” he concluded.[PR Team]
