(Unila): The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) hopes that students can become problem solvers for every problem in Indonesia, especially in Lampung Province.

This was stated by an Expert Staff of the Education Sector of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Paulina Pannen, in front of the participants of national community service program (KKN Kebangsaan) of the University of Lampung (Unila) at the Bagas Raya building on Monday (07/23/2018).

“Because in this KKN Kebangsaan, students can interact directly with the community, so it is expected that after participating in this activity, students can find solutions to the problems faced by the community,” she said. The students are also expected to be able to develop their own potency on national development and development of the world.

KKN Kebangsaan entitled “Weaving Togetherness in Diversity (Piil Pesenggiri)” involved 642 students from 55 State Universities (PTN) throughout Indonesia. Hundreds of students will be released for one month in 92 villages in three regencies, namely East Lampung, West Tulangbawang, and Tanggamus.

“The 2018 KKN Kebangsaan is an important way to univy national citizenship of the state,” said Unila Rector, Prof. Hasriadi Mat Akin.

Hasriadi also hopes that this kind of activity can strengthen the spirit of nationalism, a sense of nationality, and become a place of brotherhood among students from various state universities. “The network among them (students, red) must be built. Because later they will be released in the community, “he added.
