(Unila): International Conference on Fundamental Rights (I-COFFEES) is the first international conference held by the Faculty of Law of Lampung University on Friday, 7 September 2018 at Novotel Hotel Bandarlampung.
The agenda presented five keynote speakers namely Prof. Kusano Yoshiro (Gakushuin University, Japan), Prof. Idris Fassassi, Ph.D. (Universite Paris II Pantheon Assas, France), Dr. Kyaw Nyi Nyi, MHRD., M.Sc. (National University of Singapore), Prof. Hikmahanto Juwana, Ph.D. (University of Indonesia), and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akib (University of Lampung, Indonesia).
The number of participants who attended the conference were 64 presenters consisting of researchers, academicians, practinioners, and doctoral program students.
The Chairman of I-COFFEES Dr. Rudi Natamiharja, S.H., D.E.A., stated that the main purpose of the conference was to sharpen up the understanding of the study or research on discussed topics.
In the opening remark, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs the University of Lampung, Prof. Dr. Bujang Rahman said, that scientific activities such as international conferences strongly support the achievement of the University of Lampung, which has a vision to be the best 10 universities in Indonesia. He hope the participants actively participate in whole session of conference and get as much benefit possible.
I-COFFEES progressed the core agenda by performing the presentation of Keynote Speakers manifest their respective expertise. The I-COFFEES agenda was followed by participant’s presentations on their each concerned panels. The panel sessions lasted until the afternoon.
The Gala Dinner provided an opportunity for participants to be blended each other creating comfortable space to comunicate among Keynote Speakers and participants as well. This session is also the closing part of the I-COFFEES agenda. In its closing remarks, the Chairman expressed his gratitude to the four parties including the keynote speakers, participants, organizers, and sponsors who have devoted together to the success of this conference. He hope that I-COFFEES might be the prominent stepstones for the Faculty of Law, University of Lampung to keep contributing in scientific activities.[release]
