This academic event took place in the Postgraduate Auditorium at Unila and was attended by the examination panel, faculty members, and invited guests.<\/p>\n<p>During the open examination, Cici Dani Asri presented and defended her dissertation entitled \u201cStrategies for Tourism Development through Leveraging Sustainability Levels: A Study in Pringsewu Regency, Lampung Province.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This research emphasises a strategic approach to the development of the regional tourism sector by optimising sustainability levels across environmental, economic, and social aspects, with the aim of creating competitive and sustainable tourist destinations.<\/p>\n<p>The doctoral promotion session was chaired by the Head of the Examination Panel, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, S.Si., M.T.; with Prof. Drs. Tugiyono, M.Si., Ph.D.; serving as the secretary of the panel. Also participating as examination members were the Director of the Graduate School at Unila, Prof. Dr. Ir. Murhadi, M.Si.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the examination included an external examiner, Prof. Dr. R. Rijanta, M.Sc., from Gadjah Mada University, who provided an external academic perspective. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Irfan Affandi, M.Si., served as the internal examiner.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the dissertation preparation process, the candidate was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Bakri, M.Si., as the primary supervisor, assisted by Prof. Dr. Drs. Bambang Utoyo, M.Si., as co-supervisor 1, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Slamet Budi Yuwono, M.Si., as co-supervisor.<\/p>\n<p>The open examination proceeded in a solemn and systematic manner, commencing with an opening, followed by a presentation of the research findings by the candidate, and culminating in a dynamic question-and-answer session.<\/p>\n<p>The examiners posed various critical questions, offered feedback, and delved deeper into the methodology, findings, and implications of the research conducted.<\/p>\n<p>Through this research, it is hoped that a tangible contribution can be made to the formulation of policies and strategies for sustainable tourism development, particularly in Pringsewu Regency and other regions with similar characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the results of the open examination, the examination panel declared Cici Dani Asri to have passed and awarded her the doctoral title with a satisfactory distinction.
