THE popularity of real-time video and audio based communication applications have been increasing during the pandemic as the impact of social distancing and work from home (WFH) throughout the world, including Indonesia.<\/p>\n

One of the alumni of the University of Lampung (Unila), M. Tesar Sandikapura, S.T., M.T., takes this moment to provide a web-based communication application that people can use during social distancing. This free meeting conference app called LiteMeet. Alumni of Electrical Engineering year 1999 said that LiteMeet\u2019s concept is a room meeting with 1 host and accommodate up to 100 participants for each room.<\/p>\n
Launched approximately 10 days ago, the CEO and Founder of LiteBIG super app stated that Litemeet is a solution to communication and collaboration between individuals, communities, organizations, and support businesses.
\nLiteMeet designed to be very simple and easy to navigate. Users need to register first and fill in the data form. After registration is done, users will get a notification of how to access their room.<\/p>\n
LiteMeer has three types of communication models such as One on One Video Call, Multiple Video Conference, and Video Lecture for online learning media. The features include video call recorders, screen sharing, content sharing, and chat rooms.
\nTesar admitted that room requests at LiteMeet per day so far have reached up to 100 rooms. \u201cThe requests reached almost 1000 rooms per day with 10 to 100 users for each room. So, LiteMeet users approximately reach 10,000. \u201che explained.<\/p>\n
As the first Indonesian teleconference application, LiteMeet has been used on several institutions and communities such as the National Communication and Information Technology Board (WANTIKNAS) and the National Cyber and State Code Board.<\/p>\n
LiteMeet is different from other similar applications because the user doesn\u2019t need to download the app. They can access the website by computer or mobile phone. \u201cData usage is more efficient and local-based service, so the country can save the cost, \u201che said.<\/p>\n
