Teknik Kimia sering disalah artikan. Ini bermula dari salah terjemahan,
asal usulnya Teknik Kimia adalah terjemahan dari Chemical Engineering;
Engineering tepatnya diartikan dengan rekayasa dan Chemical (bukan Chemistry)
berarti bahan kimia. Jadi arti Jurusan Teknik Kimia sebenarnya akan
lebih tepat bila digunakan Jurusan Rekayasa Bahan Kimia, dan akan lebih
sesuai bila dilengkapi dengan "Jurusan Rekayasa Proses Bahan Kimia".
Pada
Jurusan Teknik Kimia lebih ditekankan pada pembelajaran merekayasa
proses untuk memproduksi secara massal bahan-bahan kimia. | Chemical
Engineering department always interprete mistakenly. The mistake is
coming from the word "chemical" which always assume same as
"chemistry". The meaning of chemical engineering is describe by Engineering of Chemical Products, or to be more precise Engineering the Process of Chemical Products.
In
the Chemical Engineering department, the focuss in on studying how to
engineering the process to produce mass production of chemical products. |
