Unila held Green Metric Socialization of World Universities Ranking
(Unila): Located on Second Floor in Courtroom Rectorate Building, University of Lampung, (Wednesday 2 / 06), the Green Metric of Lampung University was socialized. This event was officially opened by the Rector Lampung University Prof. Dr. Ir. Sugeng P. Harianto., M.S., who also welcomed very well this green metric program.
“Let us make our campus clean, healthy, and beautiful, so the term green campus is not just a slogan” said Sugeng. Moreover, Sugeng also hoped that some special places for smokers should be built, whether at the faculty or university level so that the pollution caused by smokers can be minimized.
Also attending this event, Vice Rector I, Prof. Dr. Ir. Hasriadi Matt Akin, M.P., Vice Rector. III, Prof. Dr. Sunarto, S.H., M.H., Vice Rector IV, Prof. Dr. Satria Duke, SE, M. Si, the Deans, the Vice Deans, the Heads of the Bureau as well as Heads of Technical Executive Unit in Lampung University.
The speaker of this socialization was Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamalam Lumbanraja, M.Sc., as the Chairman of the Green Metric Team in University of Lampung. In his presentation, Jamalam suggested some stages of the policy implementation for “Green Campus Sustainability” , among others, planning and designing the master plan for “The green buildings” which are aesthetic and efficient in energy, setting healthy environmental indicators, establishing an efficient transport system and friendly environment, setting good landscape which can reduce gas emissions, setting the operational procedures and waste management, food management, as well as setting a healthy and neat campus.
