SNMPTN: The Number of Registrants reached 205.142
(Unila): The number of registrants for The National Selection for State Universities (SNMPTN) has now reached 205.142 nationally. The Local Committee of SNMPTN in Bandar Lampung, Habibullah Jimad, on Thursday (20-5), in the Secretariat of the Local Committee of SNMPTN, the third floor of Rectorate Building, said that this number would remain increasing because the registration process was still in the 19th day. There was still one more day left for participants to follow the registration process.
In the mean time, participants who registered and would take the test at the University of Lampung, based on real time data on Thursday at 15:00, reached 11.549 participants, consisting of the 2.506 participants for Natural Science programs, 5.362 for the Social Science programs, and 3.781 for Both Natural and Social programs.
Habib further said that based on the national data tabulation, Unila is the most sought university in Sumatra land and is in the third place in the national level.
“Based on the number of participants who did the first, second, and third choice, Unila occupied the first position in the region of Sumatra and the third place nationally. The number of registrants was in total 25.278 for option 1, 2 to 3. To put into details, 10.852 registrants made the first choice, 10.957 registrants for the second option, and 3.489 for the third option”, said Habib.
The first position was occupied by the University of Hasanuddin with a total of 29.925 registrants, which consisted 12. 948 registrants for the first choice, 11. 390 for second, and 5587 for the third choice. In the mean time, the national second position was occupied by the University of March Eleventh (UNS) with a total of 27.336 registrants. For this university, 12 833 registrants took the first choice, 11 790 the second, and 2713 the third choice.
Habib further explained that the SNMPTN this year is followed by 96 universities throughout Indonesia. Until Thursday 15:00 pm , the number of SNMPTN registrants reached 205.142. This year, the SNMPTN registration was open from May 2 to May 31, 2010. For those who follow the national re-exam, registration was reopened from June 10 to 12, 2010.
The Vice Rector I of Lampung University, Hasriadi Matt Akin, said that nationally the number of registrants SNMPTN from year to year is within the range of 500 thousands registrants, while the capacity of the 96 state universities in Indonesia is only around 85 thousand seats.
